Dads
Dad’s Prayer for March 7th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Jesus told His disciples to have faith in God. He says that to me, too. I am staring at dead places in my life. A friendship that ended. A hope that did not work out. The man I thought I would be by now. Help me have faith in You. Not in fixing what is dead. In You. My faith gets stuck on things I cannot control. That my dad would change. That we would have more money. That the one who walked away would come home this month. I cannot control those things. But I can trust You. Move my faith from what I want to who You are. You are enough today. Amen.
