Dads
Dad’s Prayer for May 26th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You told me to cast my burden on You, and You would sustain me. Cast — not lay down gently. Throw. So that is what I am doing this morning. The work pressure I carry. The health question with no answer yet. The slow worry about a child whose path I do not understand. I am throwing them over to You. Not as a show. As a real hand-off. Sustain me. Hold me up while You work on what I cannot fix. I do not lose anything by letting go. I gain the freedom of not carrying it alone. Amen.

- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
