Dads
Dad's Prayer for August 27th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You asked how long Your people would not believe You. That question hits home.
I doubt You in small ways every day. You said You will provide, but I act like I am the only safety net. You said You forgive, but I keep beating myself up for sins I have already brought to You. You said You hear, but I stop asking because I assume You will not answer.
My doubt is quiet, but it is real.
Catch me this week in one of those moments. Show me when I am living as if You are not there or not listening. Turn me back to simple trust.
Lord Jesus, You did not turn away the man who said, "I believe; help my unbelief." Be patient with me the same way. Walk me out of my slow, stubborn doubt, one step at a time.
Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
