Grandmothers
Grandmother’s Prayer for March 9th
A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says to come boldly to the throne of grace, to find mercy and grace right when we need it. Hebrews 4:16. I have carried this verse for years, and it still holds me. You did not ask me to shuffle in quietly. You invited me to walk straight up to Your throne. I do not feel bold most mornings. But the boldness is not mine. It is borrowed from Jesus, who opened the way for me. So I come in His name, the only name that opens this door. I receive mercy for the failings of the week. I find grace to help, and the time is now, and the need is real. The throne is not far away. Your Son covered the distance for me. So I will not waste time with a long apology. The throne is for daughters. I am one of them. So I come.
Amen.
