New Mothers Prayer for January 25th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says to speak of Your steady love. I do not feel like speaking much today. I am low. But speaking is not the same as feeling.
So I will list. The neighbor who brought a casserole last week. My partner getting up before me this morning. The baby's hand around my finger. The verse a friend sent yesterday that I almost did not read.
These are mercies. They came from You and they reached me. I will name them out loud in this quiet kitchen.
You do not need my list to remember Your kindness. I need my list. It moves me out of the fog. Receive these mentions as a small thank-You from a tired daughter.
Amen.
