New Mothers Prayer for February 2nd

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. That is a heavy truth for a tired morning. But the heaviness is exactly where I find comfort.

My forgiveness was not something I earned. It was bought. The cost was paid in full. I cannot add to it and I cannot take away from it.

So when I am sharp with my partner, when I doze off while trying to pray, when I resent the long night, I do not have to crawl back to You through shame.

I come back the way Jesus paid for me to come back. Clean. Through His blood. Already forgiven before I could ever earn it again.

This small life is hard and it is also a gift. Let me hold both today. Help me believe Your grace instead of arguing with it. Receive me now, and send me back into this day.

Amen.

  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
