New Mothers Prayer for February 17th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, in Your Word You showed us a well called Lahai-roi, the well of the One who sees and lives. Isaac stayed near that place because God had met someone there in great need.

I want to live near that kind of well too. Not a big, dramatic moment. Just a place I keep coming back to because I have met You there.

For me, that well is this chair, this bottle, this quiet hour before the house wakes. You have met me here on hard mornings. You have held me here and reminded me You are near.

Let me stay close to this small well instead of chasing somewhere that looks better. Coming back to the place where You meet me is enough. I do not need a new altar. I just need to return to this one.

Amen.
