New Mothers Prayer for March 9th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says that Jesus is altogether lovely. Tonight, that is enough.

I have been thinking too much about myself today. I want to look away from my own worries for a few minutes and look at Christ.

He is altogether lovely. The way He treated the woman at the well. The way He let children climb on Him. The way He stayed silent when He was accused. The way He fed people before He taught them.

Set my eyes there for a few minutes. The baby is asleep. The dishes can wait.

Lord Jesus, I do not have a request right now. I just want to look at You. Let me look at You.

Amen.

  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
