New Mothers Prayer for March 27th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Matthew 26:56 says, "Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled." Tonight I think about that line. They had been with Him for years. They still ran.
I have run from You in small ways recently. Not in big betrayals. Just the slow drift. The prayer skipped. The Sunday phoned in. The week when I went quiet.
Lord, You took them back. Not with a lecture. With breakfast on the beach. With a question asked three times until Peter heard mercy in it.
You take me back too. Without making me grovel. Without holding the running over me.
I come back. Not loud. Not dramatic. Just back. Receive me. Make me breakfast.
Amen.

- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
