New Mothers Prayer for April 21st
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Job said, 'I know my Redeemer lives.' He said it when his life had fallen apart and he could not see Your hand in any of it.
That is faith spoken in the dark. Not feeling You near. Not seeing the way forward. Just knowing.
I know my Redeemer lives. I know it on the good days when this baby laughs in my lap. I know it on the bad days when I cannot stop crying and I do not even know why. I know it when I have not opened my Bible in a week.
Let that be the ground under everything else. Whatever else changes in this season, that truth does not.
He lives. I am not alone in this house. Receive my small, steady knowing tonight.
Amen.
