New Mothers Prayer for May 30th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word talks about little foxes that spoil the vines. Not the big dangers. The small ones. The tiny things that ruin something good.
I usually see my big sins. I miss the little ones. The sigh when someone I love asks how I am, and I do not really listen. The quick scroll on my phone while my baby looks up at me. The small lie to end a conversation faster. The sharp word when I am too tired to be kind.
These are little foxes. They are spoiling something real if I let them keep nibbling.
Show me the little foxes today. Help me stop them with gentleness. Repair the small damage they have done. Protect what is good in this house from the harm that comes from neglect, not from malice.
Amen.
