New Mothers Prayer for July 12th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word calls Your people sanctified and kept. I want both of those words this morning. Sanctified — set aside, made Yours, not because I did anything holy today but because You laid Your hand on me. Kept — held, even when I am not holding on well. The night was long. The baby cried. I cried. The morning has not gotten much easier. But I am still kept, and that is more than I can do for myself. Let that one word, kept, be the prayer I whisper under everything else today. Amen.
