New Mothers Prayer for July 13th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You once asked Jonah if it was good to be angry. You asked me the same thing this morning. I snapped at my husband over the laundry. I sighed at the baby, who has done nothing wrong. Under the anger is tiredness. Under that is fear that I cannot keep doing this every day. I was angry. I was tired. I needed help and did not ask for it. Forgive me. Let me not be ashamed of feeling sad about how I reacted. Thank You for this small life in my arms, even on hard mornings. Give me the mercy to say I am sorry, plainly, before this day goes on. Amen.
