New Mothers Prayer for July 29th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Psalm 73 has one word that does all the work this morning — Nevertheless. I am continually with You.
Yes, the night was hard. Yes, I lost my temper before the toast finished. Yes, my prayer life has shrunk to scraps and one short sentence on the stairs.
Nevertheless — You are still with me. Continually, not when I improve. Continually means now, not after I have caught up on sleep.
Let me carry that one word in my pocket through the day. Nevertheless. Nothing has changed, but You are still holding everything.
Amen.
