New Mothers Prayer for August 13th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says You planted the tall trees of Lebanon. They did not plant themselves. They did not pull themselves up by their own roots into the sky. I have been trying to plant myself this week—to make my own energy, my own patience, my own milk supply, my own morning routine. Let me remember I was planted by You. The roots were Yours to set. The growth is Yours to give. My job is to stay rooted, not to plant. That is a smaller and kinder job. Amen.
