New Mothers Prayer for August 15th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Isaac once went out to a quiet field at the end of the day to think about You. I do not have a field. I have a back porch, a glass of water, and a baby monitor. Let this small place count. Help me sit for two minutes after the baby goes down, not scrolling, not planning tomorrow. Two minutes to remember that this day is Yours and that You are with me in it. That is my evening meditation. And it is enough. Amen.

- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
