New Mothers Prayer for August 23rd

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You promised in Isaiah 65 that one day there will be no more crying. But right now, crying fills this house. The baby cries. I cry. Sometimes we both cry at three in the morning. That does not mean Your promise is wrong. It means we are still waiting. Help me hold both — the real tears now and the real hope later. I do not have to hide the crying. I do not have to rush the hope. Steady me between the two. Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
