New Mothers Prayer for December 29th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Samuel set up a stone and said, "So far the Lord has helped us." Walking through this year — the long nights, the unexpected joys, the diagnoses, the surprises, the help that came at the last minute from places I did not expect — You have helped us. Let me set up a small stone tonight. The list does not have to be long. Three things. The friend who showed up. The verse that returned. The strength that came when it was needed. So far, so far You have helped. Walk me into the next year with the same help. Amen.
