Burning Bush Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord, You told Moses to take off his sandals because the ground was holy. Moses almost missed it. He was just tending sheep in the desert. But he stopped. He looked. He paid attention. And You called him by name.
Lord, I do not want to miss what You are doing. The things You light up in my life are not always easy to see. I have hurried past most of them. Stop me at the next one. The ground may be holier than it looks. Your voice may be calling me by name.
Make me someone who stops and pays attention. I would rather take off my sandals than miss Your call.
Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
