Teens Prayer for January 31st
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, it is the end of the month, and I cannot remember most of what I told myself I would be by now. My "new year, new me" lasted about nine days. The rest has been a slow walk back to old habits. Jeremiah 23:6 says, "This is the name He shall be called: The Lord Our Righteousness." Not my righteousness. Yours, given to me. I keep trying to make progress I can measure — verses memorized, a streak, a journal full of insights. But the point was never the score. Tonight I want to be honest with You: I failed at most of what I planned. I succeeded at a few small things. And the rest of life just happened while I was not paying attention. Forgive what was sin. Receive what was real effort. Take the things I have not finished, the things I have not started, and the things I keep meaning to. Let me sleep without another grade. February starts tomorrow, and so does new mercy from You. Amen.
