Teens Prayer for February 11th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, my faith feels less alive than it used to. Revelation 2:4 says You told a church they had left their first love — and that verse has been stuck in my head all week. I have not walked away. I still call myself Christian. I still go on Sundays. But underneath, I have gone cold. I scroll instead of read. I argue in my head instead of pray. I have made my faith a label and stopped letting it be alive. Strip the label off me. Take me back to the simpler thing: I am loved, I am known, I am being remade — and none of that depends on whether I feel it tonight. Help me sit with a real chapter of Scripture this week without skimming. Help me pray one honest sentence at a time without trying to sound impressive. I am not asking for the big moments back. I am asking for the small fire to be relit, quietly, with no audience but You. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
