Teens Prayer for February 18th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I am not going to pretend I am not mad at You. I have been comparing my life to people who have more. More money. More stable parents. More obvious gifts. And I have been quietly furious that I got the life I got.
Job once asked God to tell him why life felt so hard. That is closer to where I am than any polished prayer I know how to say.
I am not really asking for an explanation. I am asking for the bitterness to stop running my mood. I do not get to pick my conditions. But I do get to live inside them with You or without You. I choose with.
Take the comparison away. Bring me back to the small real life I have. It is mine. It is enough. It is loved.
Amen.
