Teens Prayer for March 31st
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, today is the last day of March, and I am tired but quiet, which is better than the other kind of tired I usually am. Isaiah 53:5 says Jesus was wounded for the wrong things I have done. He was crushed because of my sin. He took the weight, so I do not have to drag it around tonight pretending I am fine. I am not going to pretend. Today I lied to my mom about finishing something I hadn't finished. I helped a friend who needed it. I scrolled too long, twice. I prayed once, badly, before lunch. That is my day. It is small and ordinary and a little embarrassing. Forgive me where I sinned. Receive what was real in it. Let me sleep without going through the list one more time. April starts tomorrow. I am not making a list. I will wake up and try to be a person tomorrow, with You in the middle of the day instead of just tacked on at the end. Goodnight. Amen.
