Teens Prayer for April 6th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says to go with Jesus even when it costs me something, even when it's hard. Today I didn't do that. I didn't really show up for anyone, and I barely showed up for myself. Take the day anyway.
I lied in a small, dumb way at lunch to look better. I shut down at home when my dad asked an honest question. I spent forty-five minutes on a video I didn't even like. None of it will make the news. But all of it is the real truth of who I am right now.
Forgive what was wrong.
But mercy was here too. A friend saved me from saying something stupid in fifth period. My coach didn't punish me for being late. My dog was waiting when I got home. Thank You for all of that.
Help me close my eyes now and stop replaying everything I should have done different.
Amen.
