Teens Prayer for April 12th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I have been putting off calling my grandmother for three weeks. Help me stop avoiding it. I am tired. She talks for a long time. I do not feel like calling. But none of that is a reason not to do it. The act is the love. The warmth might show up while we talk, or it might not. Either way, she is family. She is alone more than she lets on. Ten minutes is not too much to give. Take the avoidance. Walk me to the phone. I do not need to feel like calling. I need to dial. Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
