Teens Prayer for April 17th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I have been scared all week. Not about one thing. About a lot of small things that add up. Your Word says Jesus speaks for me. Not just on the cross. Right now. In the place where my prayers should be and are not, He is praying for me. I take that as enough. The list of things I am scared about — the audition, the family situation, the friend who has been distant, the test next Tuesday — I can hand them to You one at a time. I am not asked to solve any of them tonight. I am asked to do the next true thing in front of me, which is sleep. Tomorrow has its own enough. Steady me into rest. Amen.
