Teens Prayer for April 24th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I told myself I quit this habit. I did not actually quit. Your people in the Bible kept having to come back to You and start again. I am right there with them. I made this promise three weeks ago. I made it before that. I am making it again tonight. I am not just saying words. This is what it really looks like to follow You for the long haul — turning, falling, turning again, with You ready every time. Tonight, I will delete the app. I tell one safe person. Tomorrow morning, I will not check whether I can talk myself out of either one. Help me take the step. Help me mean it. Move me. Take me back yet again. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
