Teens Prayer for April 29th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, sometimes I am scared this will be the rest of my life — the dread, the slow days, the feeling that nothing is going anywhere. You are my hope when everything feels wrong. There is room in the Bible for fear and faith in the same breath. In the meantime, I am going to keep doing the small obediences anyway — get up, eat, read the chapter, text the friend, sleep at a reasonable time. None of it cures the heaviness, but You are still writing something longer than today. The dread is not the most real thing about my life; You are. Carry me into tomorrow morning, and through it, and into the next day too.
Amen.
