Teens Prayer for May 7th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, I am scared of the dentist tomorrow. It is a small fear, but it sits in my chest like a big one. You are not embarrassed by my fear. Sit with me in it tonight. I cannot control how the appointment goes. But I can show up. I will brush my teeth. I will go to bed at a normal hour. I will let my mom drive me there. The dentist will do what the dentist will do. Whatever happens, You will be there with me on the other side. The fear is loud. It is not in charge. Help me sleep tonight. Give me the strength I need when tomorrow comes. Amen.

  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
