Teens Prayer for June 5th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father,
It is late. I am stuffed from a pizza I probably should not have eaten. Today, I had a real conversation I am proud of, and a moment in the cafeteria I would pay real money to take back. In between, a lot of ordinary minutes I will not remember in a year.
You are the God who shut the door to keep Noah safe. Shut this day for me. You are closing it in mercy, even when I want to keep replaying what happened. I do not have to keep performing in my own head tonight. Forgive what was sin. Receive what was real. Help me stop replaying the embarrassing moment on a loop. The replay does not undo it. The day is done. Tomorrow will have its own weight. I do not need to carry it now.
Give me sleep.
Amen.

- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
