Teens Prayer for August 19th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Micah 5 says the coming Shepherd will stand and feed His flock in Your strength. He stands. He does not panic. He does not pace. He is present. Be that for me today.

I run. I pace. I check eight things at once. Slow me down. Make me a person who does not have to be in motion to feel okay. Let me sit with my work for thirty minutes without checking my phone. Let me sit with a friend's pain without trying to fix it.

Standing, being there, is also strength. Teach me that kind. Be that for me, and make me that for the people around me who are panicking. There is power in being still in a room where everyone else is anxious.

Amen.
