Teens Prayer for August 25th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says in Song of Solomon 2 that Your fruit is sweet to my taste. Time with You is supposed to be good. Not always emotional. Just good. Like really good food after a long day. I forget that. I think of prayer as a duty. Show me again what it is like to actually enjoy You. Even five minutes of that would be a gift I carry into the week. Until then, I will keep coming to the table. The sweetness is not always at the front. Sometimes it comes at the end of a long meal of mostly bread. I am okay eating the bread. Just keep me at the table long enough that the sweetness has a chance to come. I have walked away too early before. I am staying this time. Amen.
