Teens Prayer for September 6th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Psalm 4 says, "I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone make me dwell safely." It is evening. My brain is listing everything I did wrong and everything that might go wrong tomorrow. I cannot solve all of it tonight. You alone make me safe. The locked door is not what makes me safe. My phone settings are not what make me safe. You are. Let my body rest because You are awake. I am not on duty all night. That is Your job. David wrote that psalm when his life was in danger, and he still slept. He slept because You were watching over him. I get to sleep for the same reason. Let me lay this day down. Amen.
