Teens Prayer for September 8th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Psalm 139 says, 'Search me, O God, and know my heart.' That feels intense. Most of my prayers are me telling You things. Please help. Please bless. Please fix. Today, let me reverse it. Show me what is actually going on in my heart that I am too busy to notice. Is there bitterness I keep feeding? Pride I am pretending is confidence? Loneliness I keep covering? You see it already. Let me see it too. Not so I can spiral, but so I can hand it over. You are not finding out something new about me. You are showing me what I have been hiding from myself. Make today's prayer the kind where I let You speak first instead of running through my requests one more time. Amen.
