Teens Prayer for September 27th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Psalm 121 says the One who watches over me does not sleep. That means tonight, while I rest, You are not off duty. You do not need a break from me. The things I cannot solve before bed are not unsupervised. You are still on them. Let me be the one who sleeps. Let me put down the part of me that thinks I have to stay awake to keep things working. They were not running on me to begin with. You are the reason I can finally rest tonight. Let tonight be different. Pull me off the watch. The watch is Yours. It was always Yours. You have never left Your post. Now let me close my eyes and trust that the room and the world are still being watched. Amen.
