Teens Prayer for October 6th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Hebrews 12 says to lay aside every weight and the sin that trips us up, and to keep running with endurance. Some of what I carry is not sin. It is just weight. Old grudges. Old labels I have carried for years. Things that are not wrong, but they are slow. Help me put one of them down this month. I do not have to make a big confession for every heavy thing. Some of it is just not mine to carry anymore. You separated weight from sin on purpose. Not everything that slows me down is something I need to repent of. Some of it is just something I need to set down. Show me what weight is and what sin is. Help me be honest about each one. I do not want to mix them up. Amen.
