Teens Prayer for November 22nd
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Psalm 63 says, "I remember You on my bed and think about You through the night." That is for the hours when I am awake, and my brain will not stop. Make those minutes Yours.
When I cannot sleep, give me something better than scrolling. Give me one Psalm to repeat. Give me one true thing to hold on to. Help me know that You are awake and I am safe.
Let my room at night become a small prayer house, not a worry house. David wrote that psalm when his life was not safe at all. But he found safety in thinking about You. Let my night be the same.
The phone is a bad friend at 1 a.m. A verse I have learned by heart is better. Train me to reach for the better thing.
Amen.
