Teens Prayer for December 19th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, in Matthew 1, You call Jesus Immanuel, God with us. Today is December 19. Christmas is close enough to feel the pressure, yet far enough that I still have to wait. Be with me in this in-between. Most of my life is in between. Not just the big days. Show me how to be present right now. Not just waiting for Christmas to start living. Help me trust that You are with me on a plain day as much as on December 25 when I am waiting for a text to come back. When I am waiting for grades to post. When I am waiting for the holiday to arrive. Train me to notice that You are already here. Make me believe the Immanuel name today. Amen.
